The 2 houses are part of an ancient Abbey dating back to the 8th century. The houses are situated in the heart of a medieval village, on a small road leading to the Corbières, 30mn South of Carcassonne.

Monastry Outbuildings

They have been entirely renovated retaining all the original medieval features : stone arcade, sink and walls. They are delightfully cool in summer due to the thickness of the walls.

The Main House, sleeps 12, large family house with 2 acres of private enclosed & shaded garden. A large 10 x 5m private pool is being built and work will completed in May 2011. Photos will be put on line asap.

The Shepherd's House, sleeps 4, situated next to the main house, it has a small private enclosed garden.

There are bakers, cafes, supermarkets and various villages/small towns with a range of restaurants within a 10mn drive
